Dear Greater Good
Animated video series for kids | Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley
Dear Greater Good is a five-part animated video series designed to help children manage big emotions and build social-emotional skills—especially during the uncertainty of the pandemic. Each video offers simple, research-based tips on topics like handling stress, making thoughtful choices, apologizing, and staying motivated.
I illustrated 4–6 custom pieces for each video, using expressive characters, soft textures, and color-driven mood to support the emotional tone of the content. Whether the story focused on owning up to a mistake or pushing through a tough moment, I aimed to make each scene feel honest, encouraging, and relatable for kids. The visuals helped anchor each message in warmth and empathy—inviting children to see themselves in the stories being told.
Created in partnership with the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, this project blends art, psychology, and care to support kids’ emotional well-being through visual storytelling.
